How can I join the Maendeleo Democratic Party (MDP)?

You can join MDP by dialing *509# on your mobile phone and following the prompts. You will be asked to provide your ID number and personal details for registration. Once confirmed, you’ll officially become a member.

Do I need to leave my current political party before joining MDP?

Yes. The system will guide you through deregistration from your current political party (if applicable) before allowing you to complete your registration with MDP.

Is there a membership fee for joining MDP?

No. Membership to MDP is free of charge. However, members are encouraged to participate in volunteer programs and party initiatives.

How is MDP structured?

MDP is organized at national, county, constituency, ward, and grassroots levels. At the national level, the party is led by the Party Leader, Chairman, Secretary-General, Treasurer, and other officials who ensure effective leadership and accountability.

Who are the key leaders of MDP?
